WELCOME TO THE CLUBHOUSE—where Spanish comes alive after school!

AN IMMERSION LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE

The Spanish Immersion Clubhouse offers after-school care from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM during the school year. This program is designed for elementary students in grades PK-3 (Ages 4-8) who attend a Spanish immersion program in their home district or take Spanish classes throughout the school year. Other members include students who have a special interest in Spanish as a second language and want to be part of a language community for kids. At the Clubhouse, children get the opportunity to learn Spanish naturally through creativity, play, and exploration. Each day is filled with engaging activities that build language skills while strengthening academic and social development. Our program is structured to support a natural approach to learning Spanish vocabulary with fun hands-on activities in the following areas:

ART/SENSORY - Children paint, color, cut, and create — while naturally building their Spanish vocabulary. From collaborative murals and letter art to playful projects like school buses, handprint trees, and creative crowns, every activity sparks imagination and reinforces language in a fun, engaging way. Every project is designed to combine language, imagination, and fine motor skills, so children absorb Spanish naturally while creating something they are proud of. Your child will learn Spanish by doing, creating, and exploring — and have a great time while doing it! 

MATH/LITERACY- Practice reading and math skills through stories, songs, and hands-on activities. Children practice letter sounds, explore books, sing favorites like Las ruedas del bus, identify objects, and count together — all while learning Spanish naturally. Children strengthen early literacy and math skills while learning and practicing Spanish in meaningful, playful ways. Each activity blends language development with core academic concepts so students build confidence in both areas at the same time.

MUSIC/MOVEMENT- In our music and movement time, children learn Spanish through rhythm, song, and play. Each activity combines music with active participation, helping children absorb vocabulary while building coordination, listening, and social skills. The program brings language to life with songs, rhythm, and active games. Children sing, dance, play movement games, and act out songs while learning new vocabulary. From practicing vowels through music to moving like cars, every activity makes Spanish fun, energetic, and unforgettable.
